Welcome to the place where I just can’t seem to get away. I am drawn to it. I must travel and consequently must fly. Overpriced food, angry people, late people, old mothers and young families, public restrooms, long waits, dwindling money, books you try to read, flight agents with tight grins and dark scowls, perfectly situated hair and red lipstick, hope, frustration, and a short fuse...
I wouldn't necessarily mind waiting all day if it weren't for a couple of things, my mom's birthday, my dwindling money, and exhaustion. But, that is the way it is sometimes difficult, challenging, tiring, and sometimes seemingly joyless. I often feel deserving of a smooth comfortable life. God is not good because my life is going smoothly. Rather, God is good. Fairness isn't as simple as we make it be.
